Sitting in a small cafe on the corner of a busy street in Madrid you see a man
drinking his usual cup of coffee, with a big grin on his face after being asked
if he knows much about furniture... especially antique furniture such as 14th
and 15th Century. Why you may ask?
Simply because Mario has known all about furniture for most all his life. Going back to his early teens, Mario began to specialise as an Artisan in furniture, specialising in Regency, Louis, Victorian, Georgian, English, French and of course Spanish styles. His passion to learn more drove him to acquire specialist skills and knowledge enabling him to restore furniture back to its original theme and beauty. Mario's skills and attention to detail soon captured the attention of well known furniture companies in Europe which in turn helped him to broaden his understanding of the trade in both old and new furniture. As a result and after several years of experience, he was invited to expand his skills in America and Australia. It was a hard decision Mario had to make! but, after long consideration, his final choice led him to the country which he and his wife considered at the time to be the perfect place to raise a family - Australia. This in turn led Mario and MariMar to a new and exciting environment in Sydney where they were to start their new business "A Comfort House Upholstery".

For the next 4 years, Mario and his family stayed in Sydney, developing a well respected name by people from all different areas of society ranging from interior designers and architects to well known and prestigious firms. After operating for over 15 years in Perth under the name "Comfort House Upholstery", in 2002, a further development encouraged Mario to continue to excel in craftsmanship, upholstery and restorations by expanding his skills and ability further into more services such as wall upholstery and custom made alterations to furniture. In line with this expansion into the industry it was appropriate that a new name be founded to commemorate the development, so, as of 2003 "Exclusive Furniture Creation" was created and has been the new name which the we have proudly carried on ever since. |
